Best Termination Practices - Know Your Options

Kammi Mencke Smith and Scott A Gingras, attorneys with the firm of Winston & Cashatt, will be discussing the best termination practices. This seminar will include suggestions on evaluating employees, disciplining employees, and terminating employees. If a layoff is needed, as an employer, do you ever wonder which employees should be laid off first? Smith and Gingras will provide suggestions on things to consider when making this decision, as well as discussing severance packages, and other legal considerations such as the WARN Act, COBRA, discrimination and wrongful termination, and the effect of employment agreements.

This group discusses ideas and strategies to help better the position of Associate members with the General Contractors in our organization. The committee meets every other month on the third Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. Lunch is provided each month by a sponsoring member.

AGC Young Execs - Spokane Indians Baseball with the Boys & Girls Club (July 17, 2012)

The AGC Young Execs will once again be hosting a night with the Spokane Indians and this year, we are inviting the Boys & Girls Club to be our guests. We have reserved the Depot section of the ballpark (the train car area in the outfield) for Tuesday, July 17^th. We are asking our Young Execs member companies to help sponsor this event and help make this a night to remember for our local Boys & Girls Club families.

Company sponsorship is $150 and each sponsor will receive 4 tickets to the game. Additional tickets can be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis, as the majority of our group tickets will go to the Boys & Girls Club. Sponsors will be recognized both at the game and in AGC communications.

The Inland Northwest AGC’s Annual Summer Golf Tournament is our biggest event of the year! With over 275 players, 50 sponsors and dozens of contests, it’s a great way for members to get involved with the AGC.
