Great builders aren’t born leaders. They’re trained.

The AGC Leadership Series is built for the up-and-comers on your team: the rising managers you see leading your company one day. Over three two-day sessions, participants learn from top speakers, roll up their sleeves on hands-on exercises, sit down with elected leaders and give back to the community. They’ll walk away with tools they can use on Monday morning, a network of peers across the industry, and a certificate to show for it.

Modules:

MODULE 1

Lead Yourself, Then Others

February 24, 2027

Leadership starts with knowing how you’re wired. The morning sharpens leadership fundamentals and reveals your dominant communication style. The afternoon turns that self-awareness into action with goals, motivation strategies, and a plan for leading the people around you, on the jobsite and in the office.

MODULE 2

Communicate to Build the Team

February 25, 2027

Strong teams run on clear communication. Participants assess the four communication styles, practice listening, persuasion, and conflict resolution, then apply those skills to build trust, morale, and a can-do team spirit.

MODULE 3

Communication: How You Show Up Matters

March 25, 2027

This module explores how state of mind impacts action, communication, relationships, performance, and even health — and looks at ways to increase interpersonal awareness, management literacy, and intentionality of leadership.

MODULE 4

Advocacy

March 26, 2027

Participants learn about the impact construction has on the community and why it matters to be involved in public policy, meeting with elected leaders from local, state, and federal levels to discuss critical issues.

MODULE 5

Community Outreach

April 21, 2027

Participants make a difference in the community through a day of volunteering and local outreach, giving them the opportunity to see how their leadership skills can empower others outside the workplace.

MODULE 6

Teamwork

April 22, 2027

Participants fine-tune their focus on relationships, leadership, and partnerships in a seminar followed by a hands-on, job-site-focused workshop that puts those skills to use.
